THE BEST TIME TO VISIT VIETNAM

Northern Vietnam : Northern Vietnam is the paradise of stunning and spectacular landscapes. These are all charming destination, yet you have to travel in the right time to enjoy their utmost beauty.
The north of Vietnam experiences cold dry winters from December to February, the summer months (May to August) are typically very hot and humid. The best time to visit northern Vietnam is during spring (March to April) and autumn (September to November), when days are generally warm and sunny.
Hanoi is at its driest in December and January. Though temperatures do drop so be prepared for chilly nights. Hanoi also experiences the majority of its rainfall in July and August and these are not great months for hill tribe trekking around Sapa.
Ha long Bay is one of the ideal destinations for holiday vacation, the best time to visit during the Spring(from March to May) and the Autumn (from late August to October). During these months, the weather conditions, with warm sunshine, cool air, and no mist, are most favorable for an exciting journey exploring the beauty of the Bay.
Only two hours of driving from Hanoi, Ninh Binh is a destination that you should not miss out in the itinerary of your trip discovering Vietnam. If you love contemplating the shimmering ripen rice fields along the poetic streams of Tam Coc Bich Dong - Hoa Lu and Trang An, you should go there in the two harvesting seasons of the year from April to May and from September to October
The best time really depends on what places you are going to visit.

Central Vietnam : Central Vietnam’s coastal areas, which includes Hoi An, Da Nang and Hue, benefit from the protection of the Truong Son mountain range.
The best time to visit central Vietnam and its lovely beaches is between April and August when you can expect sunshine and blue skies with pleasantly hot temperatures.
Wet season of Hue is from September to December with heavy rains, especially in October and November. It is dangerous for tourists to travel these months because it can cause floods.
Da Nang and Hoi An are located around the central coastline. The dry season is from February until July with a lot of sunshine and this is the most beautiful time for you to visit and relax. From August to November is wet season with rainfall and water levels rise. There may be typhoons hit during the season.
Climate in Central Highlands Vietnam has two distinct seasons: dry season and rainy season. Thus, this region has an ideal weather in comparison to the general weather in Vietnam.
In Central Highlands, there are not as many scenic beauties, and colorful minority groups as those in Northern Vietnam, but there is a lot thing to discover here such as thundering waterfalls, mist-laden mountains, immense longhouses and barely a tourist in sight.

South Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City, The Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc & Con Dao, Phan Thiet & Mui Ne, Ho Tram & Long Hai
With temperatures remaining constant year round, the climate of the south is split into two simple seasons, wet and dry. The dry season begins in November and ends in April/early May with late February to May being slightly hotter and more humid. The wet season lasts from May until early November with the months from June, July & August receiving the highest rainfall of the year. Throughout much of the wet season rainfall is generally heavy but short lasting, often occurring in a mid-afternoon heavy downpour.
The average temperatures in the south range between 25 - 35°C year round.
In the far south, the islands of Phu Quoc and Con Dao can be enjoyed year-round, with high chances of sunny days, although if visiting outside dry season, afternoon downpours should be expected.
